During the Biotech Week held in September 2017 at the European Parliament, the bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking organised a walking exhibition showcasing bio-based products. This was an opportunity to show how everyday objects can be developed from biomasses and natural feedstock.
A range of bio-based products ranging from the likes of textiles and cosmetics to sport-equipment and construction materials were presented during the exhibition. All these products originated from projects funded by the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking.
With their help, the people developed and demonstrated the said innovative technologies and thereby bringing bio-based products to market. This will ultimately stimulate the bioeconomy and foster the creation of new jobs.
